After attending public schools and graduating from Fargo South High School where he was a three sport letter-winner and an editor of the school newspaper and yearbook, Jasper enrolled at Jamestown College. When Jasper was 20 years old, he started his own information technology business, Sudhian Media, from his college dorm room. To date, Sudhian's website has received over 10 million visitors.
Upon graduating from Jamestown College with a Criminal Justice major, Jasper pursued a legal education from Hamline University School of Law. In 2006, the voters of Fargo's District 21 entrusted Jasper with the honor of serving in the North Dakota House of Representatives. Jasper completed his first session in 2007 where he successfully led the charge to increase the state's minimum wage and worked to provide meaningful property tax relief, strengthen consumer protection laws, and increase funding for education. Rep. Schneider serves on the Human Services, Government and Veteran's Affairs and Constitutional Revision committees. Between legislative sessions, Schneider serves on the Judiciary and Higher Education committees.
Jasper is the son of Lois and the late John Schneider, who represented District 21 for over ten years in the North Dakota Legislature and served two terms as House Minority Leader before being appointed United States Attorney by President Clinton.
In 2002, Jasper married his high school sweetheart Kimberlee (Ibach). Together they make their home on Third Avenue South in Fargo with their two-year-old son, Jack.
platform statement: Dear Friends,
The basic idea behind insurance is that we can make life's surprises a little bit easier to handle if we all face risk together. Working together with you, I'll do my best to ensure that your family has access to quality insurance and make certain that you get the coverage that you pay for when you need it.
I'm looking forward to an exciting campaign and discussing the issues that matter most to North Dakotans. Whether it is helping our seniors live more independently in retirement, working to bring health insurance coverage to more North Dakota kids, or increasing fairness in the state's workers compensation system, we've got a lot to talk about and plenty of work to do.
I hope to meet you in person in the coming months. In the meantime, please sign up for my e-mail newsletter so we can stay in touch about the campaign and other important issues. Of course, I'd also like to hear from you. Feel free to contact me at jasper@jasperschneider.com with any concerns or ideas you have about making insurance work more effectively for North Dakotans. Thank you for this opportunity and I look forward to seeing you soon!

"
(
from: Joshua Rivera): I want to know what you feel about supporting the Civil Air Patrol [www.cap.gov] in enhancing education in the state of ND. Also when volunteer members of CAP are doing missions for the state such as fire & flood reconnaissance, mission persons searches etc, I believe they should receive state insurance while on these official missions.
CAP is a FREE force multiplier for the states Dept of Emergency Services as well as the Dept of Education.
I am currently undecided and this question which I will pose to all individuals looking for office will help make my decisions...
"Jasper Schneider's Response "Josh,
I honestly don't know enough about the CAP program. Would you be willing to give me your insight?
Along these same lines, I did introduce a bill this past session that would have allowed National Guard soldiers to have the same health care that we as legislators have. After all, they care certainly doing public service, too.
I look forward to working with you on the CAP issue.

(
from: Eugene Bossert): W S I ?
should W S I be regulated by the Insurance department ?
Is it time to allow private enterprise offer Workers compensation insurance coverage ?
"Jasper Schneider's Response "it is time to use the Insurance Department’s expertise in regulating private insurance to help right the ship at WSI.
The idea of 'sure and certain relief' must be restored, that was the goal of the original idea back in 1919 and if that can't be met under the current system, I believe that we need to keep all options on the table as we head into this next legislative session. Including the idea of allowing private enterprise as a possible solution.
It was great meeting last night at the County Mutual convention. Thank you for the question. I look forward to talking with you more. You can always call me as well, 701-235-4481.
